We have had fun all month playing with colors…just in time for Easter egg coloring. For a Science lesson we started with a bowl of blue, red, and yellow colored water, and we had three bowls of clear liquid. We wanted to do an experiment to find out what happens when we poured a little of one color to a little of another.

We learned that a solution is an even mixture of two or more liquids. Jackson loved that when he added red to his blue, purple magically appeared.

Yellow and blue make green, yellow and red make orange!

Check out those bright colors! A fun Science experiment!

We joined Elijah, Jayden, and Nana for egg coloring a different way.

We put our eggs in a baggie full of thick colored gel and rolled our egg to coat it with color.

They loved this new procedure! The eggs were sticky and our fingers just as messy, but it sure was fun…especially coloring with our cousins.

We also colored eggs with vinegar and colored tablets

We weren’t gentle at all when we colored our eggs. Out of excitement they were quickly dropped in the mugs of color. Every egg was cracked! However, we were very pleased with our final product!

Stevie and I used to “chuck a puck” at the hockey game on Saturday nights, now we “chuck an egg” to see who can hit the water of the pond.
