Summer Play

New life jacket for fishing, she had to wear it in the kiddy pool and in the sprinkler.

Sprinkler time fun with our cousins

20130730-223836.jpg
They created a mud hole in Papaw’s yard and couldn’t resist.

20130730-223942.jpg
Couldn’t resist the mud or the chance to be silly.

20130731-222659.jpg
A little more silly…

Although it’s hot July, the earmuffs are actually headphones on this day!

Floating in the kiddy pool…without the water

20130806-223511.jpg
You make me smile each and every day!

20130806-223648.jpg
You sisters love each other so much!

20130806-223844.jpg
For these little birds, life is all about the play. For me, it’s about their smiles and enthusiasm.

20130810-064613.jpg
Hopefully we are daily cultivating a life full of love and affection for one another.

Nature Growing

20130722-063614.jpg
We found a baby bird under the vines early one morning. It was obvious it was frightened because of it’s loud panicky chirp. We learned from one of our library readings that it was fine to touch and rescue the bird, and the mother would continue to care for it.

20130722-064545.jpg
We carefully returned the bird to its nest. A perfect place to live, under the canopy of the vines, surrounded by a cluster of grapes.

20130729-071629.jpg
Abigail’s single blooming sunflower towering over her zinnias.

20130729-071851.jpg
We found a butterfly

20130729-071944.jpg

20130729-072027.jpg
We all had to touch it

20130729-072150.jpg
I like this photo. All three of my little hands which are growing right in front of my eyes.

20130729-072455.jpg
We were able to harvest blueberries many times from our five thriving bushes!

20130729-072816.jpg
Yummy!
They really enjoyed picking these tiny berries. This harvester pictured here dropped her full bucket twice. Many of her blueberries were left behind for the birds.

20130729-073138.jpg
Abigail’s sunflower a couple of weeks later. The butterfly’s and goldfinch are loving this spot!

20130730-081458.jpg
Jackson regularly carries a mop or broom outside while playing.
For the memory, he pretends it is a weed eater and is pretty much obsessed with keeping the yard and flower beds trimmed.

20130730-083120.jpg
We harvested beans, peppers, beets, and everyone’s favorite…carrots.

20130730-083333.jpg
Papaw’s favorite photo.

20130730-100917.jpg
The consequence of not using pesticides…sometimes critters enjoy our veggies as well.

20130730-215407.jpg
More beets for pickling.

20130730-215907.jpg
Summertime in the vines!

20130730-220006.jpg
If I hadn’t seen it, I might not believe it! Isabela was sitting in this chair moments before I captured the photo. They were screaming…not out of fear but excitement! After the snake spent some time eyeing us, it slithered out of the chair and up into the tree above us and disappeared!

20130730-220814.jpg
Isabela wants to be just like Abigail and Jackson. Her feet can finally touch the ground. All three have grown enough to swing alone. Three swinging babies playing together.
Memories I will cherish always!

Early Summer Fun

20130706-223032.jpg
Soak him Abigail!

20130706-223331.jpg
It took Isabela a lot of time to build the courage to walk in the squirting water.

20130716-071752.jpg

20130716-071925.jpg

20130716-073433.jpg
Bubbles are always a favorite.

20130716-073609.jpg
Isabela is learning to blow away from her lips rather than putting her lips on the wand.

20130716-111033.jpg
Cooling off is such fun.

20130717-062805.jpg
Lucky to enjoy the early summer days.

20130717-063005.jpg

20130717-063130.jpg
Notice the tiny water sprinkles, she played forever trying to catch them in a cup.

20130717-070528.jpg
Abigail loves her flowers.

Scooting on the tricycle

20130717-070824.jpg
Always mocking her brother and sister, always trying to keep up.

20130717-070941.jpg
Library readings, same subject…trains, big trucks, or Dr. Seuss.
The Library has entertained over 100 children all month. We have learned about dinosaur fossils, ancient artifacts, zoo animals, gardening, and our favorite…rescued wildlife. Up close we have seen baby robins, a hawk, owls, a groundhog, opossum, rats, lizards, and an iguana.

20130717-071134.jpg
I had to include this fun photo for Cousin Jaydie.

20130717-071307.jpg
Recipe time with my girls.

20130717-071355.jpg
Abigail was so excited that I let her be like her brother…without a shirt!

20130717-071620.jpg
Captured quiet time

20130717-071749.jpg
The middle child came to me to rub her achy tummy. Seconds latter child number one joined us for his tummy rub. Of course, third child, always following the lead of her siblings, joined the floor line-up to have her belly rubbed! Mommy only has two hands for massaging two babies, but how happy was I to see these three lined up in front of me needing their mommy’s touch!

Anniversary Blessing

20130724-214638.jpg
WooHoo…another anniversary dear mommy and daddy…number 18!

20130724-214810.jpg
Let’s see…nine years of dating plus eighteen years of marriage…twenty seven years together!

20130724-215116.jpg
Our little birds were excited to join us.

20130724-215256.jpg

EXACTLY from my heart!

May you impress and raise this sweet young boy to be an amazing man like you…the highest quality of husband, friend, and father!

Isabela’s Second Birthday!

20130708-223639.jpg
I can’t believe you have been a part of this family for two years! What a blessing to our nest!

20130709-071530.jpg

20130709-071605.jpg
You were so excited to see the animals on your cake (theme from the story, “The Big Red Barn”) and Jackson and Abigail were as well. All three loved to see the flame of the candle, all three wanted to blow it out.

20130711-214247.jpg
Presents, presents, presents…what better thing is there to have in front of you. My challenge, as always, is keeping the other two sets of hands of your brother and sister away from helping rip the package apart.

20130712-070901.jpg

20130714-085557.jpg
Smiles are always so sweet…up until the moment she sees a camera, then we get this look. I like to capture her touching those tiny toes!

20130714-090630.jpg
Peace for the number two birthday!

20130714-091158.jpg
She loved all of her new toys!

20130714-091422.jpg
Blurry photo but captured my smile of celebration!

20130714-091524.jpg
Happy for a sucker.

20130714-091617.jpg
Most satisfied in her daddy’s arms.

20130715-072733.jpg
Jumping for joy!

20130716-071525.jpg
We add a new handprint to the birthday cloth at each special celebration.

20130718-064652.jpg
Once the streamers were down, these girls had a blast playing with them!

20130718-065046.jpg
We enjoyed celebrating your special day!

20130718-065338.jpg
For the memory that tries my patience, I HAD to include this photo. This is an example of how the ONLY child of my three REGULARLY use this in hopes of getting their way. Isabela threw herself to the floor in protest that Jackson wouldn’t let her hold his side of the banner. After this moment was captured, we walked away…she quickly picked herself off the floor, hushed her screams, and followed us…calm, peaceful, and happy. (I’ve had to teach Jackson and Abigail the art of ignoring that less than desirable behavior.)
