Halloween and Fall Sillies

A Gypsy, an Indian Princess Fairy, Darth Vader, and a tamed Lion!A trip to the pumpkin patch is always a favorite pre-Halloween activity.these fields always excite us, it inspires us to change our fields of grapes to pumpkins…someday maybeNothing says fall like a day in the airof course Abigail wanted to take this little guy home…A week later, new boots for the first blast of cold airpieces of our costumes had to be layered with winter coats at the farmer’s market for warmthyikes, I like the other face of his bettercrafts for fallpumpkin choicesall kinds of time to playa fun trick or treat at the aquariumalmost doesn’t even look or feel like fall as cold as it was on this weekendthe top of this tree begins to reveal the season changesome of my favorite colorsthese are my favorite thingsfun for these sweet birds creating memories for a lifetime!

Butterfly Tagging

We were lucky enough to join our friends from the TN Aquarium Butterfly Exhibit in Cade’s Cove for catching Monarchs.We were each given these awesome nets and turned to the fields for chasing!The fields meeting the sky were absolutely beautiful,with the help from the expert, we identified if it were male or female, tagged it for migration tracking, and checked it for future parasite identification,I think our family caught and tagged at least eleven!this experience was a first for our whole familywe had to use super delicate fingersmommy was possibly the most excitedProbably one of my learning highlights!Beauty…Thank you for this awesome outdoor classroom adventure!

Love our Lake
