Our dear friend, Al. Al works at Hearthstone and has been a special person to me/us for years. My classroom children in years past made him cards through the years. My three children now really enjoy visiting and playing with him. Notice the Steelers hat, he has turned Jackson into a Pittsburg Steelers fan!
(This photo was also added to Family Moments, Part 2 Memories, published 7/5/12)

In memory of Nana’s dear dog Gracie! Thanks for the memories with all three of my children for their entire life span. Most importantly thanks for being my mother’s loyal companion daily on her walks, trips to the garden, and a constant protector in everything she did!

“Dog Biscuits in Heaven” by Jackson
He drew a picture of God making treats for the dogs in heaven. The biscuits are shaped like hot dogs and kitties and Gracie loves eating them with the other dogs.

“Going to Heaven”. By Abigail
I LOVED her picture. She had me to write Jackson, Abigail, and Isabela’s name by each window they were watching out of. Nana was walking to our house and they were watching God and Jesus meet Gracie and take her to heaven!
Their innocence and conversation were priceless.
Their true sadness was heartbreaking!

20131203-183455.jpg
Our new painted paperweights. Thank you Aunt Teresa for our awesome rocks! Painting was fun even though all colors were mixed!

20131203-183724.jpg
Even though the calendar says that we are still in the season of fall, the weather acted like winter on the 27th! Most importantly, my “Thanksgiving Baby” woke up to a “White Birthday”. She/they were thrilled to get out in the snow.

20130423-220616.jpg
The weather won’t make up its mind! Warm one afternoon, freezing the next!

20130423-220821.jpg
Jackson figured out he could get more cuttings picked up by raking them in a pile.

20130423-221109.jpg
We are happy to report that most of our pruning is complete. I am very blessed to have a great man that did most of it for us due to many circumstances beyond our control. I am more blessed to have wonderful children, that most of the time, happily help in the vines and play peacefully in the field together. I hope in the years to come they can look back at these photos, and have fond memories of quality time spent as a family completing a goal. Growing Love!

Loaded and ready for delivery! Watch out for the yellow jackets!

20120913-090430.jpg
Our 2012 experience from the perspective of a five year old! His favorite things- grapes and trucks! I prompted the subject of “delivery” and we started with a few key words. He successfully constructed the complete sentences as well as the spelling, and then finished with a colorful picture!

20120913-092007.jpg
Once delivered, some rode on an escalator and some were emptied by a fork lift, which both Jackson and Abigail loved.

20120913-092512.jpg

20120913-092604.jpg
All of the grapes ended up as a bright beautiful juice!

20120913-093441.jpg
Lucky we were to have watched the whole cycle from start to finish! It’s great being a farmer growing grapes!

It’s Harvest Time!

20120912-161737.jpg
We are excited to share that our sweet hanging clusters of grapes are ready to be harvested!

20120912-162114.jpg
The vines that we have carefully cared for all year long are hanging full of fruit.

20120912-212741.jpg
Hanging full of sugar filled juicy grapes that are good to eat right in the field, or canned for juice or jelly.

20120912-213538.jpg
This is Isabela’s first harvest that she is walking and grabbing at the clusters.

20120912-215319.jpg

20120912-215555.jpg
Love Jackson’s smile to his daddy. Love it more how hard of a worker he constantly is!

20120912-215855.jpg
Boots, skirt, crown, and buckets. All things needed for a successful harvest!

We are full of joy that the late spring freeze did not destroy all of this year’s crop!

2012/2013 Official Homeschool Class! 8/23/12

Hello. Meet my awesome HEALTHY three! There aren’t enough adjectives to describe how each of them make their mommies’ heart beat!
Enjoy our journey as we grow.
JACKSON is my first born, high needs, colicky baby boy. A sensitive, loud, spirited, and energetic little boy. A VERY quick learner, lover of books and puzzles, and ALWAYS making us jump through hoops to keep his not flexible needs met. A total perfectionist, Jackson is a hard working, honest little guy, and is growing his confidence daily. He is our sweet boy, always making us laugh, always keeping us on schedule.
ABIGAIL, an absolute sweetheart. Our first baby girl. Always satisfied and never demanding. Full of energy and spirit, she is our laid back dreamer with a grounded princess attitude always wanting to wear only a dress! Abigail is a hands on learner, loves the arts, music, and dance. She has a dry sense of humor and doesn’t mind speaking the truth of what she thinks. Abigail is overwhelmingly sensitive and forever loyal to others needs. Her favorite thing she says, and she says often, “This is the best day ever!” She is stuffed with love!
ISABELA, “our new baby sissy”. She is a perfect combination of her two older siblings. Loud and demanding, but so sweet and loving. Already imitating all things she observes, she seems to be a quick learner as well. She loves to wink, smile, and make animal noises. She is the funny bird of the house. A show off, always doing silly things for a laugh. Isabela loves crayons, farm animals, balls, and trains, but mostly us! She is a perfect baby girl helping complete our amazing family!

I’m a collector

I’m a collector. I have always collected items such as shells, books, and the normal things that collect dust. Collections that make my eyes happy and surround my life to remind me of fond memories.

The one collection that was started for me by my own mother was the collection of photos. She kept the albums up to date and the walls current of our family milestones. Throughout my life I too took up the interest of picture taking and photo album creating. This one collection makes me the most satisfied as I create my life. An obsession for capturing the perfect memory.

The one memory that has become a daily light in my mind is one of my three children. As I reflect to the day this picture was created, I recognize timing and love are everything. I recognize a memory like this is captured in a split second but can sustain you hopefully for a lifetime!

This was the day our newest member of our family left my belly to come be a part of our family. The day “new baby sissy” met her big brother and big sister for the very first time. This moment was such an anticipated moment for me. I was filled with more emotion than I thought possible. Everything I loved was gathered in this room. Every blessing from heaven had touched me.

I was a little unsure and nervous about this meeting, unsure how my other two toddlers would react to such a fragile new infant. Both of their eyes lit up! This first meeting was magical for a mother. Sweet happiness for seeing “new baby sissy”. The timing couldn’t have been planned as my mother brought them both to the hospital for this meeting at the very same time the photographer came to capture the baby’s first day.
I love the circle they have created. Abigail’s arm around Jackson, Jackson lovingly supporting his new baby sissy’s head and their fingers touching. I feel sure this bond will circle them forever!
