It’s Harvest Time!

We are excited to share that our sweet hanging clusters of grapes are ready to be harvested!

The vines that we have carefully cared for all year long are hanging full of fruit.

Hanging full of sugar filled juicy grapes that are good to eat right in the field, or canned for juice or jelly.

This is Isabela’s first harvest that she is walking and grabbing at the clusters.

Love Jackson’s smile to his daddy. Love it more how hard of a worker he constantly is!

Boots, skirt, crown, and buckets. All things needed for a successful harvest!

We are full of joy that the late spring freeze did not destroy all of this year’s crop!

All three children and I participated in our first co-op field trip on a HOT day earlier this week. We visited McBee Dairy Farm in Mascot, Tennessee. We joined a homeschool group from Kodak and had a wonderful time. We were able to see many new calfs, chickens, horses, and ducks. They were also given an opportunity to milk a goat and chase some pigs as well as taste fresh homemade ice cream made there from the real milk on the farm!
Isabela is missing in the below pictures because she enjoyed her view of the animals strapped to me in the BJORNE carrier! Just for kicks I added one of her below.

Field Trip, Smokies Stadium 2012

Thanks Papaw and Nana for the game tickets celebrating Jackson’s fifth birthday! We were finally able to use them and had a wonderful time. So many good moments and special memories made at the stadium. One of the greatest was making it to the Jumbotron! Jackson and Abigail couldn’t believe they were on the big screen!

They enjoyed the biggest bucket of popcorn their mommy has ever let them dig into. Also, Jackson thinks we should get these folding seats for home!

Pre-game entertainment! “What’s growing that they are watering, why does that boy have that hose around his neck?” These kind of questions/comments are constant and always make me smile!

Sweet baby girl! She enjoyed it all, the cheers, the food(minus the popcorn),and the action.

Abigail was asked if she was wearing the crown because it was her birthday. Our answer, “not her birthday, she’s a princess everyday!” We love her excitement for life and her love for all things around her. She too wants game tickets for her birthday papaw!

Jackson truly loves the game of baseball! He was amazed at how fast the ball moves from the pitcher, how loud the crack of the bat sounds, and how far the ball soars out in the field. He couldn’t wait to get home, stay up just a little later, and let his daddy pitch him some balls to hit! He was so excited for what he had seen and how it related to him! Pure Motivation and Joy!

Always a quick place for us to escape and play away from the norm of life.

Isabela’s First Coastal Excursion

Traveling with three made me felt like we packed forever. Jackson and Abigail were so excited to have new baby sissy join us. This was the first year our beach trip did not happen in June. We started a new tradition in traveling after our harvest!

All three DID sleep in the tent right there on the ocean. It was so sweet!

First Beach Memories

The one place Stevie and I have always escaped to is the coast. Annually celebrating the calendar’s official start of summer as well as our June 24th wedding anniversary we have always taken this very important excursion. These three babies haven’t changed our feelings of the sand and surf. The last baby did however change our travel dates as she was born on the first day of summer.

I am taking a trip down memory lane to Jackson’s, Abigail’s, first beach memories before posting Isabela’s new experiences.
