More Birthdays and End of Kindergarten

We celebrated Nana’s Birthday in early June

We all met for a lunch date in Pigeon Forge. We also celebrated Amy and Stephanie’s Birthdays as well.

We were happy to eat pizza and help celebrate the people we love!

For Jackson’s end of Kindergarten year celebration, he chose to eat and play at Chuck E Cheese. I have to make a note that this was the first time Jackson agreed to stand beside of this big mouse and have his picture taken!

We are proud of his accomplishments this year! On most days he proved to be an eager student working hard to learn and complete everything I expected and demanded from him. I am most happy that he not only became a really good reader, he developed a true love for books…a skill that will entertain as well as educate him a for a lifetime.

After our mini celebration, we were blessed with another special rainbow. One of Jackson’s favorite things to see on the side of the interstate are these big construction trucks! The rainbow arching over them was amazing. It lasted forever on our drive as we were leaving Knoxville.

A double rainbow that we literally drove under. WOW!

Finally to Jackson, even though you may feel our constant push to excellence, we are hoping you discover the feel of your own successes, so you may reach for any path that leads you to happiness.

May’s Day’s of Fun 2013

This photo was taken on Mother’s Day morning, two days after returning from our overnight stay celebrating Jackson’s Birthday. Isabela is holding “Puppy” her favorite friend. Isabela’s mommy accidentally left Puppy behind in the covers of our room. We realized this when we put her down to bed and she kept begging for him. Housekeeping recovered our treasure and we of course went back up the mountain to retrieve it! She was so excited to be reunited! So sweet!

I really enjoy watching this girl kick a ball! Either soccer or football, she gives it her all!

For my birthday we played at the World’s Fair Park and visited Market Square.
They love watching the water. I love watching them watch and learn about the life around them.

Fuzzy picture but I’m happy to capture moments of play especially when big brother is being so great to give both of his sisters a ride.

One of my favorites. I hope you girls are always this sweet, always this close and loving!

We even talked Aunt Fran into helping us plant the corn. Check out the wild boys in the background. Also, that’s our onions and potatoes we helped plant several weeks ago!

Again we have been skipping between the heat or rain for working in the vines.

Spring rains and sun are growing our vines beautifully. We are busy suckering, removing the growth at the base of the plants. All three have proven to be very efficient at this task!

Jackson started competing with Abigail trying to log more work time. More work time equals more money 🙂

I always smile each time these beautiful blue innocent eyes gaze at me! I love to see and hear her enthusiasm. She was over the moon with excitement when she discovered the “baby grapes” growing!

Jackson lost his second tooth! The tooth fairy left him two dollars!

We went to Jayden’s dance recital. Her daddy joined her on stage for one of her three dances.

Happy my brother was able to have this special moment with Jayden. That’s both of Jayden’s Papaw’s in the background.

We went to cheer on Elijah at a few of his games. That’s him, number 15, leading off of first base. The adult to the far right, face hidden by the pole, is Elijah’s daddy Mikey being the third base coach.

Finally Jackson mastered the difference between words spelled “ite” and “ight”

We harvested onions, asparagus, and of course yummy strawberries.

This Little Tikes truck has given a fair share of rides. Abigail and Isabela were so funny, both of them squeezing in the front to drive!

Abigail came to me and asked if she could pretend to be a mommy. She was playing dress up in one of my original baton outfits.

Writing ABC’s is always more fun outdoors with chalk.

They really enjoy climbing the wall. I remember their first steps along this wall and us spotting them from behind. Building their courage and confidence, they now can fly solo.

Junior Ranger and More Birthday Fun

One of Jackson’s goals for his Kindergarten year was to complete the Junior Ranger Program in the Great Smoky Mountains. We completed eleven activities in a workbook, picked up litter, watched a video, went on a guided trail walk, and visited the museum to write three facts he had learned.

For the final portion he had to interview a real Park Ranger, answer questions about the process, raise his hand and recite the Junior Ranger Pledge for the Park Ranger. I was a proud mother watching her shy little man speak so confident and clear in spite of the noise and commotion being made by the many onlookers.

Happy to be showing off his new official badge and certificate outside the National Park Sugarlands Visitor Center.

One sister was very patient for this long process, one not so much…I won’t point fingers.

Jackson’s First Celebration

I have to say it…I can’t believe my baby boy is six!

So happy that his sisters enjoy his special day.

Our Spring Family Fun

To all of those amazing females that created and guided me, nurtured and inspired me…Happy Mother’s Day!
To my two sweet girls, if you choose the path to motherhood someday, may you always share the kind of love and tenderness that your Nana has daily offered us…always putting your family first, walking in life with a gentle heart, and being a blessing to all of those around you…a treasure worth celebrating every moment of everyday! Wrapping up April

This boy playing frisbee is about to loose his first tooth! It is barely hanging by one root!

Papaw and Nana treated the WHOLE family to Dollywood tickets again this year! Jackson’s final sentence cracks me up! When I read it and reminded him he would be six on his birthday, he told me he knew, he still wouldn’t be ready for the real train until he was seven!

Jackson loves that his mommy still remembers how to drive a tractor! Before you were born Mr. Jackson, this was my main mode of transportation in the summer. Your daddy really misses those days!

“Hall, party of three” is what the nurse announced as she calls us from the waiting room. This is our assembly line, ALL THREE waiting to see Dr. Hollingsworth for our re-check appointment. I am hopeful we are on the road to recovery.

Cool Spring Morning

Back in the Vines

We were able to talk Nana into helping us pick up the cuttings between the rows!

Abigail is so excited to see the butterfly’s flutter by and to pick the bright dandelions. Each time she see’s one, she shouts, “spring is here!”

Even the baby helps out by picking up the cuttings. They learn so quickly!

The weather won’t make up its mind! Warm one afternoon, freezing the next!

Jackson figured out he could get more cuttings picked up by raking them in a pile.

We are happy to report that most of our pruning is complete. I am very blessed to have a great man that did most of it for us due to many circumstances beyond our control. I am more blessed to have wonderful children, that most of the time, happily help in the vines and play peacefully in the field together. I hope in the years to come they can look back at these photos, and have fond memories of quality time spent as a family completing a goal. Growing Love!

Easter Time

Believe it or not, he loved his “dress up” clothes. He actually wanted a bow tie.

I had to include this photo because of the shoes, and because of Abigail’s look of disapproval! Isabela picked out a pair of her sister’s glittery red shoes (hand me down’s from Cousin Jaydie) and insisted on wearing them! I’ll not post the tantrum that followed when we tried to put the white ones on!
